Mary’s Freedom Charities, a place of hope and freedom for disadvantaged pregnant women, nursing mothers and children, is a charity organization founded in Fatima, Portugal in 2020 to give assistance to disadvantaged pregnant women and nursing mothers and children
As Sub-Saharan Africa has the highest maternal mortality ratio, 533 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births and 200,000 maternal deaths a year which is over 68 percent of all annual maternal deaths worldwide; we channel our first attention to Africa, with the intention of extending to other parts of the world especially in developing countries. We do this out of compassion and service to the Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of God and to humanity.
We were inspired to establish this charity organization due to several economically challenged pregnant and nursing mothers we have supported with provision of essential dietary, sanitary and medical needs during and after pregnancies in Africa and many more still in need of assistance, while some more who would have loved to have their babies, but due to economic challenges are hesitant or even scared of carrying on with the pregnancy.
At Mary’s Freedom Charities, through our work, we offer less privileged pregnant women the encouragement, hope and strength to carry on with their pregnancy without anxiety and fear of lacks and be able to offer freedom to life to their unborn babies.
We also offer freedom and support for children suffering under child labour and slavery, giving them the possibility of living under parental love and care.
Mary’s freedom Charities main goal is of Freedom; freedom for the unborn, the born and the mothers.
How we work
We welcome all everyone in need that comes to us regardless of religion or ethnicity. Apart from our general publicity, we also work with collaborators like individuals on ground in the communities where we work and also health care workers in hospitals and health centers and also churches, in various communities who direct or refer to us pregnant and nursing mothers in need of help.
Our support goes all the way to child care until the mother or the family is empowered and can take good care of the child.
Our collaborators and also schools assist in locating abused children under child labour and slavery. Through the appropriate law enforcement agencies, we see that these children are rescued and appropriately cared for.
